Raven Sky Sports is the Midwest's
only full-time, full-service hang gliding school and flight
park. We're located in Whitewater, Wisconsin, (60 minutes from
Milwaukee, or Madison, WI; 90 minutes from Lake Forest, Palatine,
or Elgin, IL) and we have beginner classes, by reservation,
seven days a week from March 1st thru December 1st.
 The
"Hang
Gliding Hill Flying Class" goes out once a day,
from 9:30-3:30 (but sometimes earlier on hot summer days). The
cost for this class is $149 per person.
 The
"Tandem
High-Altitude Hang Gliding Flight Lesson" to
3,000 feet is available 7 days a week, morning and evening (up
until 8:30pm for a summer 'sunset flight' so you can go after
work), and requires only about an hour of your time (to prep
for, and) to complete a 20-to-25-minute (+/-) tandem hang gliding
flight lesson. The cost for this lesson is $149 per person.
Our "Introductory Package"
includes both the hill flying lesson and the tandem flight lesson
(for one person) and costs $270 per person.
Our "Tandem Twice Package"
is for one person who wishes to do two consecutive tandem flight
lessons, and costs $270 per person.
We have a wonderful in-flight
camera system available for a 24-picture photo shoot
session during your tandem flight lessons, at a modest additional
cost of $24 per person, and we now also offer a DVD Video of
your flight for $48. And yes, minors (4-18) can
participate with special written authorization from a parent...ask
us for details [more
for parents of minors].
For all classes, reservations are strongly recommended, and
we have a required early-morning telephone check-in on the day
of your reservation. For visitors from far away, you should
know that all three of the motels in Whitewater, Wisconsin will
give you special motel rates if you are in town for hang gliding.
We also have free primitive camping available for participants.
We'd like to send you via US mail, some of our brochures, which
include photos and information about the Hang Gliding Hill Flying
classes, High Altitude Tandem Hang Gliding classes, a map of
our local area specific to hang gliding training sites that
we use, and info on our certification training program. We
also now include a free Video-CD/DVD of some of our recent
TV features, with a 10-minute multimedia slide show produced
by one of our charter members. Email

else, ever, without your permission.
We'll be happy to talk with you and answer your questions. If

you and discuss with you, your hang gliding options. And we

You and your friends are welcome to sample individual lessons,
or our Introductory Package, without commitment to a complete
program. If you love hang gliding, and want to get certified,
you can ask for a free upgrade and apply 100% of the payments
for your first several lessons toward the certification training
program (called "The
100 Flight Plan"). After you are certified,
we provide hang gliding flights seven days a week. We have a
large inventory of rental equipment to fit men and women of
all shapes and sizes up to 300 lbs, safely. It's quite common
for members of our club (almost 200 men and women) to get aerotowed
up to 2000' or 3000' to start a flight lasting two hours or
more!
Yes, we keep peculiar office telephone hours: 6:30-7:30 am,
seven days a week. During this one-hour time slot, students
with reservations re-confirm, and we discuss any weather concerns
or cancellations at that time. At other times of day, it's hit-or-miss
trying to catch us by telephone.
If you reach the office voice mail, the best thing to do is
to leave a message there, and then, if you wish, try to reach
us on our mobile phones.
