STEP 2: LOCAL SITE DIRECTIONS
once you're in the Whitewater Area.
Twin Oaks Airport
is located 1.1 to 1.6 miles north of the Whitewater McDonald's
and KFC on Tratt Street (Highway N), on the left. There are
three dirt road entrances to Twin Oaks Airport which are 1.0,
1.4, and 1.6 miles from the McDonald's and KFC, and we park
single file along these access roads near either end of the
grass runway, depending on wind direction. Park single file
with the other cars and walk in. NEVER DRIVE ON ANY GRASS
AREAS (not even to turn around). Do not park in line with
the ends of the runway, or you will be in the way of the aircraft
and hang gliders which are landing. Do not block the roads
or any cars. If you are the first to arrive, park intelligently
and wait.
